At the tender age of six, our founder Matty started gaining weight rapidly and without mercy. After reaching 300 lbs and spending the entirety of his adolescence obese, Matty was finally able to lose almost half of his body weight via diet and exercise. Keeping the weight off for almost 20 years, Matty learned that one of the greatest keys to his success came by controlling snacking.

He dreamed of finding a healthy hard candy that he could suck on for long periods of time, especially while cooking meals for his kiddos. Something that would satisfy his cravings and prevent snacking in unplanned ways.

After searching again and again but finding nothing, Matty decided that Goodems was an inevitability. 

Through years of trial and error, Matty finally came to a hard candy that not only satisfied his ginormous sweet tooth, but also satiated his cravings. He is ecstatic to share this with anyone looking for the confidence, happiness and goodness that comes when you know you’re giving your body what it wants and needs.
